Order #45 - Apartment/Loft lease renewals

- On April 30, 2013, the NYC Rent Guidelines Board adopted a proposed range of renewal lease guidelines for rent stabilized apartments, lofts and hotels. The proposed guidelines, as well as procedures relating to public meetings and public hearing concerning the guidelines, is detailed in the Public Notice (in pdf format). The Public Notice is also available in html format (translatable option). The proposed guidelines may also be viewed and comments may be submitted on the Rules of the City of New York Information Center (NYC Rules) website.

Note: On March 24, 2011, the Court of Appeals reversed and dismissed the petitions challenging the minimum dollar increases under Rent Guidelines Board Orders #40 and #41. As a result of this decision, the minimum dollar increases adopted by the Rent Guidelines Board in Orders #40 and #41 are valid and in effect for leases covered by those orders. A copy of this decision is available on the Court of Appeals website (in pdf format).
